Should former PM Tony Blair be called into question for his actions during the Iraq War?

Conservative Foreign Secretary William Hague was asked by Angus Roberston MP of the SNP party, "Do you not agree that Tony Blair should not continue in post as a Middle East Peace Envoy?", to which he replied, "No I don’t agree with that Mr Speaker, nor do I think the recent events in Iraq should be turned into a proxy debate about Tony Blair and everything that he has ever said or done, and in any case there will be the shadow Foreign secretary is looking rather alarmed about a proxy debate about Tony Blair, but in any case we have set up an inquiry in this House into the Iraq war and that inquiry will report in due course."

Green Party "The Green Party supports the call for parliament to impeach Tony Blair. Mr Blair misled the public about the alleged reasons for the attack on Iraq, and proceeded to lead the UK into an illegal and unjustifiable war on the basis of this deceit." Plaid Cymru Plaid Cymru did not support the war in Iraq; in fact, we vociferously opposed it. Moreover, our MPs led the campaign to impeach Tony Blair for war crimes. Source: Plaid Cymru.

SNP "[Ex-party leader] Salmond has gone further than many anti-war politicians in claiming that Blair's statements on the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq were consciously intended to deceive the public. He has also claimed that Blair had made a pact with George W. Bush "to go to war come what may". Source: Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Salmond
