Plaid Cymru Elfyn Llwyd, Plaid Cymru's parliamentary leader has voted tentatively in favour of the tax on properties worth in excess of £2m, saying, "We are minded to support wealth taxes, and we therefore welcome the motion, but it is a bit thin on detail. "

SNP Scottish ministers will be introducing a 'land and buildings transaction tax' in April 2015, which will see a progressive scale of rates. Homes worth in excess of £1m will pay £78,300 in tax, with homes valued at less than £135,000 being exempt from the tax.

UKIP UKIP are opposed to the idea of a Mansion Tax, calling it an attack on aspiration.
