The Research Agency of the Forestry Commission provides research services relevant to UK and international forestry interests and inform and support forestry's contribution to the UK government's policies. Core role is to provide the evidence base for UK forestry practices and to support innovation.
The Forestry Commission is a Non-Ministerial Government Department responsible for the delivery of Government forestry policy and management of the public forest estate in England.
To advise the Forestry Commissioners on the performance of the Forestry Commissioners' functions under Section 1(3) and Part II of the Forestry Act 1967, and on such other functions as the Forestry Commissioners may from time to time determine.
